Colours can impact our lives for the better and can influence your mood by selecting a colour corresponding to your psychological state as referred to by the chromotherapy theory. Chromotherapy, sometimes called colour therapy can use colour to balance energy wherever our bodies are lacking, be it physical, emotional, spiritual, or mental. Beyond Colours
RED AMARANTH – RED
Red represents warmth, energy and stimulation; therefore good for energy, fatigue, colds and when under the weather. It energises heart and blood circulation, all organs and the senses.
LEMON VERBENA – GREEN
Green is a cooling, sedating colour, which helps reduce swelling of joints and tissues; it calms the body’s nervous system. It’s the colour of the relaxed heart.
LINDEN – YELLOW
Yellow increases neuromuscular tone. Purifies blood, helps digestion and has a cleansing effect. Strongly stimulates happiness, brings on a sense of security, as well as a strong feeling of well-being.
MALLOW – BLUE
Blue promotes awareness and consciousness. It increases effects of medication. It promotes proper functioning of the lymphatic system and very helpful with menopause. It is the colour for neutralizing emotional wounds and for spiritual growth.
SAFFLOWER – ORANGE
Orange is the colour of optimism, positivity and self-esteem. It helps to regain self-confidence, to develop creativity and to foster independence. This colour eliminates negative feelings and enhances our spirit of enterprise. Finally, it is linked to pleasure and its reach, either through your body or mind.
- Our award-winning naturally grown red amaranth flowers are handpicked in Kent, UK, by the Deme family at their famous fruit farm, Chegworth Valley. At the time of launching there is no other tea or infusion brand which stocks red amaranth to drink, and so we are honoured to be able to bring something completely new to the world. One of a kind, the flowers used are at the point of seeding, and the resulting brew is therefore a cross between a grain tisane and an herbal infusion. Truly magical, brewing pink then becoming a deep velvety hue over time, it provides us with an earthy brew with notes of beetroot and grains!
- Our award-winning organic lemon verbena is handpicked from the beautiful family gardens of Despina on the island of Naxos, Greece, when she is not busy creating beautiful needlework.
- Our wild linden flowers are hand harvested 1,400m above sea level from their native habitat, the Motcor forest in the Lori region of Armenia.
- Our wild mallow is harvested 1,400 – 1,500m above sea level from the forest of Odzun, in the Lori region of Armenia, by hand. This truely is a unique infusion as our mallow changes colour in the cup (unaided), from a blueish purple to grey, with a hint of blue when done.
- Our wild safflower is hand harvested 1,900m above sea level from its native habitat, in the Lori region of Armenia, by the residents of the village of Odzun, supervised by an ethnobotanist, using methods of collection and processing passed down over thousands of years.
