Organic Olive Leaf
Our award winning organic olive leaves brew to give a lightly green, sweet syrupy liqueur, reminiscent of a green tea. The high level of omega 3s leaves a silky feeling in the mouth. Our olive leaves are handpicked from the beautiful olive groves of the Spanos family on the island of Naxos, Greece, normally in the days after Assumption Day (23 August onwards). The whole family comes together to collect and process pristine Koroneiki olive leaves, from trees which are 400-600 years old, drying them naturally under the Mediterranean sun! Compared to standard olive leaves, our leaves are sweeter in flavour, due to type of tree and purer growing conditions.

Description
Purifying
In ancient Greece, the olive tree was worshipped as sacred – a person found guilty of destroying one could be exiled or even executed. Its oil, besides being used sacrificially, was also used in the production of perfumes, medicine and in daily life as a basic product in diet, lighting and heating. Mentioned in the Bible, “the fruit (olive) thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine”, olive leaves have been used by traditional Mediterranean medical practitioners for thousands of years, most often used, topically in wound dressings (as the leaves sped wound healing) and to soothe rashes, ingested to cleanse the liver, and in decoctions to reduce fever and fight infection. Olive leaves have substantially more omega 3s (olive phenolic – oleuropein) than olives and olive oil gram for gram, and as a result are currently used in traditional medicine to improve blood circulation, and for the treatment of high blood pressure and hypertension, in addition to maintaining brain health and boosting immunity.
The importance of olive leaves can never be underestimated – full-leafed olive branches have come to symbolise peace and prosperity in Mediterranean and western cultures, even appearing on the seal of the United Nations and on British and American coins.

TK –
As a big coffee fan, I have been enjoying drinking the hydrating olive leaf tea later in the evenings. The tea is fragrant and when drinking it, I end up making many cups of it!
AC –
Fantastic tea with loads of health benefits, a lighter option to pau d’arco, oregano oil etc. to support a Candida/parasite/detox cleanse and for everyday immunity. As another reviewer mentioned, the same batch of leaves brews many a cup!
Emillia Zachcea –
Delicious and healthy tea. My daughter is brewing cuppa twice and the taste is amazing!
