Tisane Collection
£10.95
Nazani Tea’s Infusion Collection contains caffeine-free, loose-leaf artisan herbals which are ethically and sustainably sourced. We have carefully curated a selection of herbal infusions to enhance your well-being.
The Tisane Collection was designed for you to explore and enjoy the flavours of roasted-grain-based infusions. The word “tisane” has been taken directly from the French word. The French word drives from the Greek ptisanē, meaning ‘pearled barley’ via Latin ptisana or tisana. In ancient Greece, a hot medicinal brew was made from ground or crushed barley that was used against fever. The Greek name πτῐσάνη ptisanē ‘pearled barley’, which derives from the verb πτίσσω ptíssō ‘to peel, pound, or bray in a mortar’, was also used to refer to the warm barley water that was made from the pearled barley. So the first concept of a tisane was barley water consumed during Ancient Greece. Enjoy toasty and nutty flavours of pure, natural and unprocessed tisanes. Click here for more information on the traditional health benefits of the each infusion in your selection.

- Naturally grown without the use of any pesticides or chemicals, our roasted spring barley is harvested 1,200 – 1,500m above sea level from the Zangezur Mountains of Armenia. Only the outer husks have been removed (and the barley itself has not been pearled), which means higher nutritional content within each grain. Our spring barley is lightly roasted to bring out the grassy and sweet flavours.
- Naturally grown without the use of any pesticides or chemicals, our roasted buckwheat is harvested 2,200-2,500MASL from the Gegharkunik region of Armenia. Our roasted buckwheat is lightly roasted to bring out the earth, nutty and sweet flavours.
- Naturally grown without the use of any pesticides or chemicals, our roasted spring oats are harvested 1,200 – 1,500m above sea level from the Zangezur Mountains of Armenia.
